Our story

A family taqueria that started with tacos in 2016.

Tacos Ay Ay Ay opened in Lafayette in 2016, cooking the food the family grew up with in Jalisco and Zacatecas. The first menu was short: street tacos, a few salsas, and a place to sit.

Word got around. The taco counter added tortas, gorditas, menudo, and full plates, and the self-serve salsa bar became the thing regulars talk about. Today the shop runs seven days a week from the Centaur Village plaza on the north side of Lafayette.

It is still a small, family-run kitchen. Everything is made to order, the meats are cut and seasoned in house, and breakfast is on from the moment the doors open at 7.
